The short story: UC Davis women's tennis earned their third consecutive victory by defeating Hawaii in a dominant conference dual match, showcasing teamwork and resilience to secure another crucial win on their impressive streak. 

COURTSIDE 

• The Aggies took the early lead, grabbing the doubles point. 

• Maya Youssef won her singles match in two sets. 

• Polina Marakhtanova won her singles match in two sets. 

• Daisy Maunupau won her singles match in two sets. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened up the morning with doubles where Solia Valentine and Polina Marakhtanova finished first taking down their Rainbow Warrior opponents in a dominating match. 

• Next to finish was the pair of Claire Galerkin and Maya Youssef. This pair lost their match making doubles even. 

• Last to finish in doubles was Daisy Maunupau and Mika Ikemori, who also took home a win giving the Aggies the early doubles point in the dual match. 

• Onto singles, the first to finish was freshman Marakhtanova, who dominated her match and took home a win in two easy sets. 

• Next to follow in her footsteps was senior Maunupau who also took her opponent down in two sets putting the Aggies up 3-0. 

• Junior Youssef clinched the dual meet for the Aggies by taking down her Rainbow Warrior opponent after just two sets. 

• UC Davis and Hawai'i decided to finish out the remainder of the matches even though the Aggies had already clinched the win. 

• Freshman Penelope Wong would fall to her opponent in three sets. 

• Aggie Ikemori would also take her match to three sets but was unable to come out on top. 

• Last to finish was graduate student Solia Valentine who also went to three sets and fell to her Rainbow Warrior opponent.
