The short story: UC Davis women's tennis dominated Montana women's tennis with a commanding 6-1 victory, seizing the doubles point early on and setting the tone for the match with strong performances across the board. 

COURTSIDE 

• The Aggies took the early lead, grabbing the doubles point. 

• Five Aggies took home wins in singles.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened up the morning with doubles where Solia Valentine and Polina Marakhtanova finished first taking down their Griz opponents in a dominating match.

• Next to finish was the pair of Claire Galerkin and first-time doubles partner Maya Youssef. This pair won their match giving the Aggies the doubles point and the early lead. 

• Last to finish in doubles was Daisy Maunupau and Mika Ikemori, who also took home an individual win. 

• Onto singles, the first to finish was freshman Marakhtanova, who dominated her match and took home a win in two easy sets. 

• Next to follow in her footsteps were Youssef and Ikemori, who also defeated their Griz opponents in two dominating sets each. 

• Senior Maunupau took home a win after three sets. She lost the first but came back to dominate the next two. 

• First to fall was graduate student Valentine, who took her match to three sets but unfortunately could not come out with a win.

• Last to finish in singles was freshman Isabella Bringas who put up a great fight taking her opponent to three sets before ultimately winning her match.
