DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis football, coming off its historic 11-win season and a final No. 5 national ranking, is set to open spring practices over the month of April with the first practice scheduled for Fri., Apr. 4 and the Spring Game set for an Apr. 26 kickoff at 4 p.m. in UC Davis Health Stadium.
 
When UC Davis takes the field to showcase the work put in during the spring in the annual Spring Game, the Davis community is encouraged to be there to take part in the day, with many events planned and prizes to give away on what should be a great day in Davis.
 
The spring game is free to attend for all fans, both students and non-students.

"We're excited to be back out on the field finding joy in the daily process," said 2024 Eddie Robinson Award finalist head coach Tim Plough. "Spring is my favorite time because we can focus on development and building our team for 2025.
 
"We want all Alumni to feel welcome to come out and be a part of the experience with us. Come to meetings, come to practice, and feel that Aggie Pride with us. Our goal is also to have a great turn out on April 25th for our Alumni Golf Tourney as well and then we'd like all alumni to stay for the next day, April 26th, to be part of our spring game.
 
"We want the Aggie spring game to be a yearly event for our alumni and Davis community to celebrate Aggie Football. Let's fill Shredville up with a great crowd and make it a day where we will all "Find Joy" together."
 
The day will start with a "Kids Run" to lead the Aggies out. Then on the field, the Aggies will take part in a combination of a traditional scrimmage and team drills. During breaks there will be an opportunity for fans to take part in events such as the kids run and competitions for UC Davis students to win prizes. Postgame fans are welcome to come on field to meet the team. 
 
Around the concourse there will be concessions open for purchase, 2025 ticket information and the UC Davis bookstore will be open for fans to grab the latest Aggie gear.
 
All spring practices are open to fans and media, with each practice set to get going at 8:45 a.m. on Bob Biggs Practice Field before moving over to UC Davis Health Stadium. The only practices not going at 8:45 a.m. will be the 2:30 p.m. practice on Saturday, Apr. 5 and the two scrimmages set to go on Apr. 12 and 19 at 10 a.m.

UC Davis opens 2025 on Aug. 23 against Mercer in Montogomery, Ala., in the 2025 FCS Kickoff Classic. The Aggies take the field at UC Davis Health Stadium for the first time in 2025 on Sept. 20 when they host Southern Utah.
