LEADING OFF
- Buscemi went 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored
- Felice went 2-for-4, while Polli added one hit
- Rylee Reeeves went 2-for-3 and Alyssa Dethlefson added a double to the mix

- Dethlefson came on in relief to throw the final 1.2 innings, giving up zero runs in the effort
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team could get any runs across over the opening three and a half innings, but in the bottom of the fourth BYU got on the board
- The Cougars scored three runs, with the big blow being a two-run home run that made it 3-0
- UC Davis answered back in the top of the fifth, with Buscemi eventually coming around to score on a Grace Kilday sacrifice fly after leading off the inning with a single
- But over the final two frames, the Aggies could not find the runs they needed to catch the Cougars, falling 3-1 in the day's opening game
