The short story: In their first match of the season at Marya Welch Tennis Center, the UC Davis men's tennis team secured all six singles points and the doubles point against the Jessup University Warriors on Saturday, Feb. 22.
 
COURTSIDE 

• The doubles pairs of Lucas Bollinger and Kaveh Taheri, and Sam De Vries and Perry DiGiulio dominated their way to 6-0 sweeps to secure the doubles point for the Aggies.
• The Ags won all six singles competitions on the afternoon, including six 6-0 set sweeps from five different competitors.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The day began with doubles competition. Bollinger and Taheri were the first to finish, getting the quick 6-0 victory.
• Ryan Torres and Ivan Savkin were next up, taking a 5-1 advantage before prematurely ending their match.
• DiGiulio and De Vries also took a 6-0 win, giving the Aggies the doubles point.
• Onto singles, Torres was the first to finish with a quick two-set 6-0 shutout.
• Taheri was next, taking the first set 6-3 before also closing things out with a 6-0 win.
• Rithvik Katpelly then stepped on the court for the first time on the day, winning in two sets 6-1 and 6-0 respectively.
• Now playing separately from one another, DiGiulio and De Vries each took care of business in their singles matches, with DiGiulio winning 6-1, 6-0 and De Vries winning 6-1, 6-2.
• Savkin was the last singles competitor to go, taking down his opponent 6-1 and 6-0 to give the Aggies a 7-0 sweep.
