COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In a dual discipline duel between No. 6 Texas A&M and the UC Davis Aggies, the team fell short of victory 13-4.
Following an electric Jumping Seat win against Dartmouth the previous day, the Ags were ready to bring the energy into their final travel meet before championship play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Freshman
Anna Donovan earned the point over the Fences for the Aggies with an 83 while riding North. She was the only pointwinner for the Aggies in this event. Competition was tough, senior
Emma Jolly matched her opponent's score on Celsius with a dazzling 87, tying for the highest score of the event. Sophomore
Lauren Kolbe scored an 85 on Peter, just one point shy of the win.
The Ags broke even with their Ag counterparts on the Flat, going 2 for 2.
Marin Gilliland collected her second MOP of the weekend on the Flat, scoring an 88 aboard Misty, beating out her competitor by eight points. Graduate student
Margaret Franke tallied up the second point to settle the score, earning an 80 aback Zinnia for the win.
Senior
Kendall Lance was leading lady for the western side, earning the only UC Davis point for the team. While on TJ, she beat out her opponent by two points in the Horsemanship event with a score of 73.5.
UP NEXT: The Ags will be hosting their final regular season meet before conference championships on February 28th at 10:00 AM. They will go up against South Carolina for their senior sendoff meet.
