The short story: UC Davis softball took No. 11 Arizona seven frames, scoring late to put pressure on the hosting top 15 Wildcats, before ultimately falling 7-2 in the Aggies second game on the first day of the Hillenbrand Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arizona score six of its seven runs in the first two frames, getting two off a home run and two more off a triple to highlight the Wildcat runs
- In the fifth, Arizona added to its lead with a solo home run to make it 7-0
- In the sixth, UC Davis finally broke through when Grace Kilday reached on a fielder's choice that led to the first Aggie run
- The Ags scored again on a delayed steal attempt, where Alyssa Dethlefson scored to make it 7-2
- No Aggie runs scored in the seventh ended the game, with Arizona finishing off a 7-2 victory
