The short story: Marley Panziera went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead UC Davis softball in its loss at hosting No. 11 Arizona on the second day of the Hillenbrand Tournament.

LEADING OFF
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arizona scored one run in the first and fifth, with the big frame coming when the Wildcats scored five runs in the third
- In that first inning, the Wildcats were in position to take a large lead early, after loading the bases in their first three at bats of the game
- But Sawai dug deep, getting the next batter to foul out, before getting the next two out of three batters out to allow only one run in the frame
- In the end, despite the Aggies threatening in the top of the fifth, Arizona had enough firepower to come away with the 7-0 win
UP NEXT FOR THE AGGIES: The Aggies remain in Tucson for the final day wrapping up the weekend on Saturday with a pair of games against No. 1 Texas and Colorado State.
