Rylee Reeves and another complete game from
Ashley Sawai helped UC Davis softball smash Portland State in the final game of Saturday's action on the farm.

LEADING OFF
- Reeves finished 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, scoring two runs on the day
- Sawai went 7.0 innings, giving up just two earned runs while striking out four Portland State Vikings
- Alyssa Dethlefson led off, smashing a home run while scoring two runs
- Sydney Polli went 2-for-3, scoring a run in the game
- Bella Holtz, in a pinch-hitting appearance, brough home a pair of Aggie runs
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Portland State scored runs in the first and third innings, but that would be the only time that Portland State would cross the plate during the game
- Reeves and Dethlefson teamed up to put the Aggies up early, leading directly to four runs scoring in the second with Reeves tripling home a pair of Aggies and Dethlefson smacking a two-run bomb
- Following Portland State's homer in the third, cutting into the Aggie lead at 4-2, UC Davis had an answer
- Grace Kilday would bring home a pair of Aggies on a two-out two RBI single to make it 6-2
- Two more Aggies came across the plate when Reeves singled home Mickey Buscemi and Keira Brady in the fifth to advance the Aggie lead to 8-2
- Holtz's single to center scored the final two Aggies, making it 10-2 in the seventh and it gave Sawai a comfortable cushion to work with heading into the bottom half of the seventh
- Sawai finished off the Vikings in the frame, finishing off her third complete game of the season in the Aggie 10-2 win
UP NEXT FOR THE AGGIES: The Aggies remain at Stanford Stadium where they will wrap up the weekend against Stanford on Feb. 16.
