DAVIS, Calif. — Following a strong fall season, UC Davis equestrian enters the spring season ranked No. 7 in the first National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Dual Discipline Selection Committee rankings, released this afternoon.
The Aggies concluded the fall campaign with a solid 4-4 record, securing key victories over South Dakota State, TCU, Delaware State, and UT Martin. UC Davis made program history with its first-ever win over TCU, then ranked No. 5, delivering a decisive 13-7 home victory.
The season featured standout performances across all disciplines, with multiple riders earning MOP honors and weekly awards. Highlights include sophomores
Anna Donovan and
Chloe Fares in Fences; junior
Lauren Kolbe, sophomore
Sophia Blake, and freshman
Cavan Smith in Flat; sophomore
Eliza Plum and junior
Kylie Jacobson in Horsemanship; and seniors
Nicole Shroyer and
Mya Clader in Reining.
Several Aggies were recognized as ECAC Riders of the Week and Month, with the team sweeping three weekly accolades. Sophomore
Ada Hirschfeld also earned NCEA Rider of the Week honors for Reining on Oct. 29, and junior
Lola Sullivan earned NCEA Standout Student-Athlete of the Month honors for October.
Updated Selection Committee rankings will be released weekly throughout the spring, replacing the previously used weekly NCEA Coaches Poll rankings leading into the ECAC Conference Tournament. Postseason selections will be announced ahead of the 2026 NCEA National Championship.
UP NEXT: The Ags return to competition this spring, starting on Wednesday, Jan. 28, to compete on the road against SMU.
