Aggies Fall on the Road at Oregon

THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis fell 104-62 on the road to Oregon on Saturday at the Matthew Knight Arena. The Aggies got a team-high 15 points from Carl Daughtery Jr.

COURT SIDE

  • Carl Daughtery Jr. led the Aggies' offense with 15 points on efficient 5-for-10 shooting, including two three-pointers. Playing just his second game of the season, the 15 points for Daughtery Jr. marked his career-high in an Aggie uniform.
  • Brayden Fagbemi off the bench contributed with nine points, four assists, and two steals.
  • Jalen Stokes also added nine points and was perfect from the free-throw line, converting all four of his attempts.
  • Niko Rocak pulled down five rebounds and recorded a block.
  • UC Davis's bench scored 36 points.
  • Oregon was led by guard Jackson Shelstad, who finished with 21 points.


HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Daughtery Jr. provided the initial offense for the Aggies, hitting a fast-break layup at 13:34 and following up with a pair of free throws shortly after.

  • Brayden Fagbemi opened the second half with a quick 3-pointer, sparking the offense.
  • Daughtery Jr. helped sustain the second-half surge, knocking down back-to-back shots including a transition 3-pointer.
  • The Aggies continued to attack the rim late, with Jalen Stokes converting free throws and a 3-pointer in the final minutes.
  • While Oregon maintained its double-digit advantage to the buzzer, UC Davis played the Ducks nearly even in the second half, being outscored by just six points in the final frame.
