Megan Norris elevated UC Davis women's basketball to a victory over Jacksonville State on the first day of the Tiger Turkey Tip-Off on Friday, Nov. 28.

OPENING TIP
- 19 points and 11 rebounds from Norris led the Aggies in both categories, securing her a third double-double on the season.
- Ryann Bennett joined in on the double-digit scoring with 12 points on the afternoon.
- The Davis bench stayed effective throughout the game, with Theoni Tsami, Victoria Baker, Sophie Lentfer, and Emmy Ersdala each logging 10 or more minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Seeing the Gamecocks taking the first two field goals of the afternoon, Nya Epps broke the seal for the Aggies for a lay-in before Avery Sussex gave them an early 5-4 lead on a triple.
- Threes continued to fall from Norris, Ersdala, and Lentfer, with Davis leading by as much as ten throughout the first period.
- A late layup from the opposing team gave the Ags a 24-16 lead after the first.
- Starting the quarter strong once again, Jacksonville State used back-to-back scores from Mina Djurdjevic to cut the lead to three two minutes in.
- But Norris' strong day continued, scoring seven of the next nine Aggie points to extend out to a 33-23 lead.
- Tegan Young claimed a pair of layups to help her team secure as much as a 16-point advantage, as Davis would enter halftime up 41-26.
- Coming out of the locker room, Young and Norris continued their offensive onslaught, combining for eight points to put the Ags up 22, five minutes into quarter number three.
- The Gamecocks took advantage of fouls to go to the line three separate times, capitalizing on a 5-0 run.
- But Lentfer's second triple extended the lead back to 21, giving the Aggies a 59-38 lead entering the final period.
- Early lay-ins from Epps and Tsami sparked the Davis offense to start quarter four.
- Despite the deficit, the Gamecocks refused to let up, scoring 21 points in the period to get as close as 10.
- A pair of layups from Bennett, along with foul shots from Tsami and Carrington Davis, closed things out, as the Aggies would secure a 69-59 win over Jacksonville State.
