Aggies Close Out The Fall Season Hosting No. 5 Oklahoma State

DAVIS, Calif. – No. 9 UC Davis equestrian returns to action at home this Saturday, Nov. 22, hosting No. 5 Oklahoma State at 8 a.m. in their final meet of the fall season. Now being held entirely under the covered arena due to recent rain, the Aggies look to build on a successful fall campaign as they face the nationally ranked Cowgirls.

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS
  • The Oklahoma State Cowgirls come into the meet with a 3-1 record, with wins against SMU, Baylor, and Fresno State, and a loss against UC Davis defeated TCU.
  • The Cowgirls are a member of the Big 12 Conference and enters the meet ranked No. 5 in the latest NCEA Dual Discipline Coaches Poll.
SEASON NOTES
  • AGS SWEEP ECAC AWARDS FOR THIRD TIME: Following back-to-back road wins against Delaware State and UT Martin, the Aggies swept ECAC Rider of the Week honors for the third time this season. Chloe Fares, Eliza Plum, Cavan Smith, and Mya Clader were each awarded the honor following standout doubleheader performances in Delaware.
  • SULLIVAN AWARDED NCEA MONTHLY ACCOLADE: The NCEA awarded Lola Sullivan its Standout Student-Athlete of the Month accolade for October, recognizing the UC Davis junior for her academic excellence, compassion, and leadership within the Aggie community and beyond.
  • PAIR OF AGS EARN ECAC MONTHLY AWARDS: Closing out a successful October that included key wins over South Dakota State and UC Davis' first-ever victory over TCU, Sophia Blake and Mya Clader were each honored as ECAC Riders of the Month, each winning points in four out of five meets.
  • HIRSCHFIELD AWARDED NCEA TITLE: Sophomore Ada Hirschfeld earned NCEA Western Ride of the Week honors after a standout weekend that included Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) recognition in reining against No. 2 South Carolina.
  • AGS SWEEP ECAC HONORS FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW: For the second straight week, UC Davis claimed all four ECAC Rider of the Week honors, with Sophia Blake, Ada Hirschfeld, Lauren Kolbe, and Kylie Jacobson recognized for their standout performances across back-to-back top-10 meets in Georgia.
  • AGS SWEEP ECAC HONORS: Following a historic 13-7 win over then-No. 5 TCU, all four UC Davis nominees earned ECAC Rider of the Week honors. Lauren Kolbe was recognized in Flat, Carmen Gonzalez in Fences, Eliza Plum in Horsemanship, and Nicole Shroyer in Reining, marking a standout week across all four events for the Aggies.
  • AGGIES CLIMB TO TOP NINE: After earning their first-ever win over a top-five opponent against then-No. 5 TCU, UC Davis climbed one spot to No. 9 in this week's NCEA Dual Discipline Coaches Poll. The Aggies entered the rankings at No. 10 last week following a home win over South Dakota State.
  • PAIR OF AGS EARN ECAC HONORS: Following a weekend where No. 10 UC Davis equestrian battled No. 4 Texas A&M and knocked off then-ranked No. 10 South Dakota State, Anna Donovan and Mya Clader each earned ECAC Rider of the Week honors. Anna Donovan earned the honors in Fences while Mya Clader earned the honors in Reining.
  • AGGIES CRACK TOP 10: Following a strong season-opening weekend, UC Davis equestrian earned a spot in the NCEA Dual Discipline Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 10 in the latest rankings.
  • Marking the Aggies' first appearance in the national poll since the 2023-24 season.
  • RETURNING PLAYERS: UC Davis is headlined by returning All-American Lauren Kolbe (Flat), and 2025 Eastern College Athletic Conference Freshman Rider of the Year, Anna Donovan (Fences). Nicole Shroyer (Reining), who earned All-ECAC honors, returns as the lone conference award winner following the 2025 season.
