HOW IT HAPPENED

• UC Davis opened finals with a strong performance in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the A team swam a school-record 1:30.90 to finish second, while the B team added a ninth-place showing.
• In the 500-yard freestyle, Ella Ackerman led the Aggies with a fifth-place finish (4:55.51), followed by Elena Gingras in 14th (5:02.91) and Angelina Komashko in 16th.
• The Aggies added points in the 200-yard IM with Brynn Graham placing eighth (2:02.75) and Zoe Childers finishing 13th.
• In the 50-yard freestyle, Naomi Boegholm took fourth (22.90), with Sophi MacKay close behind in seventh (23.27).
• UC Davis wrapped up the second day with strong swims in both prelims and finals to build momentum heading into Day Three.
