HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis opened the meet in the 200-yard medley relay, with the Aggies' A relay placing sixth and the B relay earning ninth to secure early points.
- The highlight of the day came in the 800-yard freestyle relay, where UC Davis' top group clocked 7:23.02 to take third place, led by strong legs from Angelina Komashko, Sophi MacKay, and McKenna Valenta.
- A second Aggie relay team followed closely behind, posting a fourth-place finish to give UC Davis two of the top four spots in the event.
- In the evening time-trial session, Brynn Graham delivered one of the top swims of the invite, winning the 100-yard butterfly time trial in 55.42, marking the Aggies' only individual victory of the night.
- With solid relay depth and a standout performance in the time trials, UC Davis closed day one with momentum heading into the mid-distance and sprint heavy sessions on day two.
