DAVIS, Calif. — After a loss to UC San Diego, the UC Davis Swim and Dive team splits up and heads to different parts of the country. The swimmers are competing in the UTU Trailblazer Invitational, and the divers will showcase their skills at the NAU Lumberjack Invitational.

GAME NOTES
- UC Davis enters the week with a 1-3 record after recording a win against Cal State East Bay and a loss against UC San Diego.
- UC Davis hosted their annual Blue & Gold Meet, as well as the Alumni Meet giving the team a fun opportunity to prepare for the season.
- UC Davis recorded several first-place finishes against SJSU, including senior Gabi Bellin in the 200 freestyle, freshman Ezmee Jones in the 1000 freestyle, junior Emily Scheberies in the 100 backstroke, sophomore Katherine Lim in the 3-meter diving event, freshman Ella Ackerman in the 500 freestyle, and senior Leila Busch in the 1-meter event.
- Sophomore Katherine Lim qualified for the NCAA Zone Meet with her 1-meter diving score of 273.90 at Nevada.
- The Aggies recorded wins in almost every event against Cal State East Bay, except the 1650 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, and 100 butterfly.
- UC Davis recorded many podium finishes in their meet against UC San Diego. Including a first place finish in the 200 butterfly by Zoe Childers, second in the 200 medley relay, second in the 200 freestyle by McKenna Valenta, and first place finished in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
- UC Davis Swim and Dive attended both meets last year placing fourth out of eleven teams at the UTU Trailblazer Invite.
- The Aggies will swim against Utah Tech, Fresno State, San Diego, California Baptist, UC San Diego, and Pacific throughout four days.
- Day one of the meet on Wednesday night will feature four relay race events starting at 6 p.m. (PT). Meanwhile the final three days of competition (Thursday-through-Saturday) will begin with each day with morning preliminary sessions at 9 a.m. (PT), followed by evening finals sessions at 4 p.m. (PT).
SEASON NOTES
- Veteran Leadership: The 2025 squad features an experienced upper class led by captains Ella Palmer, Olivia Anderson, and Mackenzie Young.
- Head Coach Matt Macedo returns for his third season.
- Head Dive Coach Phil Tonne returns for his 22nd season.
- The Aggies have added Laurel Abernethy to the coaching staff as the first Assistant Diving coach at UC Davis.
- New Additions: UC Davis welcomes eight true freshmen to the roster in 2025.
