THE SHORT STORY:Â UC Davis battled to a scoreless first half against unbeaten Cal State Fullerton, but the Titans capitalized on a penalty kick and added a late goal to hand the Aggies a 2-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon.

- UC Davis showed early defensive resilience, with Pieper denying a close-range effort from Kyah Otholt in the seventh minute
- Cordero and Coverdale generated chances for the Aggies, but neither could find the target
- The Titans earned four first-half corner kicks, but UC Davis held firm, taking the match into halftime level at 0-0
- The Aggies nearly broke through after halftime when Cordero's shot in the 46th minute missed narrowly, but momentum swung moments later as Fullerton converted a penalty kick in the 52nd minute to take a 1-0 lead
