Karly Redman elevated UC Davis field hockey over St. Louis 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 5
PITCH SIDE
- The overtime win for the Aggies marks the second time this season the team has won in extras, last beating Ball State at home in OT on Sept. 5.
- Ella Franken and Hayden Ma led the way with two shots each.
- Franken also racked up two assists, setting up her teammates on each Aggie goal of the afternoon.
- Molly Main also grabbed an assist on the first goal of the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After each team got a shot in the first period, St. Louis broke through first with a goal from Sierra Larson six minutes into the second.
- Off the corner, Morgan Caldera tied things up for the Aggies with just three seconds left in the first half.
- UC Davis outshot St. Louis 4-2 in the second half, but none made it in the net, leading to the overtime period.
- After a shot from each team to start OT, Franken found Redman on the pass, scoring the goal and securing a win for the Aggies.
UP NEXT: After a week off from competition, UC Davis will head back to the East Coast for two games in North Carolina. Action kicks off against Davidson on Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:00 p.m. PT before the weekend wraps up against Queens University in Charlotte on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
