DAVIS, Calif. – Following a record breaking season that saw school and conference marks fall, UC Davis gymnastics now sets its eyes on taking the next step heading into the 2025 season, with the season opener set to get going at Sacramento State on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m.

Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Famer head coach
Tanya Ho Gomez enters her third season at the helm of her alma mater, having already won an MPSF team conference title in 2023.

"We are excited about our mix of twelve experienced returners and six incoming freshmen," said Ho Gomez. "We expect junior
Amelia Moneymaker to return in the all-around, seniors
Keanna Abraham and
Megan Ray to dominate on their three events, and our freshmen to make an immediate impact. The staff and I can't wait to get the season started."

The Aggies are coming off a season where they set a program record for the highest team score in a meet, also setting the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation's second-highest mark in a meet when they finished with a score of 197.025 in the final meet of 2024.

Finishing second at the MPSF Championships last season, the Aggies also sent returning seniors Abraham (2024 MPSF Specialist of the Year) and Ray to the NCAA California Regional Championship. The third time both Ray and Abraham have qualified for the NCAA Regionals.
