FARMINGTON, Utah – Adding another trohpy to his case, UC Davis football running back Lan Larison has been named the 2024 Big Sky Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, holding on to an award he earned at the end of the 2023 season as announced by the conference as part of the 2024 Big Sky Kickoff Weekend.
 
The award is not his first preseason nod, having already earned FCS Football Central Preseason First Team All-American honors, Larison was also named the top returning running back in the Football Championship Series by HERO Sports as part of their 2024 FCS season preview.

Larison, despite only playing in eight games due to injury, finished 2023 with 1,101 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, placing him among the nation's best. He finished ranked 12th in the nation in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and his 15 total touchdowns put him eighth in the country.
 
The Aggie running back was named to the 2023 Walter Payton Watch List and he earned FCS Football Central All-American First Team honors and Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American honors following the 2023 season. Larison was also named All-Big Sky Conference first team following a season where he led the conference in all-purpose yards (1,299), finished second in the league in rushing yards and third in rushing touchdowns.
 
UC Davis opens camp on July 30 with the first official practice set to get going on July 31. Camp is open to both fans and media, with more information on specific times and policies to follow soon.
