The short story: The UC Davis offense was on fire in the series-opening doubleheader, taking a pair of victories to clinch the series win over Hawai'i on Friday afternoon at La Rue Field.
LEADING OFF
- The Aggies exploded for a season-high 14 hits in the second game of the doubleheader.
- Sarah Starks was the catalyst for UC Davis' offensive prowess, going 4-for-6 with a home run and four RBI.
- Bella Pahulu was another standout, banging out four hits on the afternoon.
- All UC Davis starters recorded a hit in the game two win.
- Kenedi Brown tossed seven innings of one-run ball to grab her eighth win of the campaign.

THE RUNDOWN (GAME ONE)
- Brown fanned two hitters in the top of the first to begin her incredible outing.
- Bella Pahulu lifted a sacrifice fly to score Anna Dethlefson in the Aggie half of the first, giving her team an early 1-0 lead.
- Sarah Starks kept the rally going with her RBI single to score Polson, doubling the Aggie lead.
- The first baseman continued her excellent day at the plate when she mashed a two-run shot over the center field wall in the bottom of the third, making it a 4-0 ballgame.
- Hawai'i got one run back in the fifth when Ka'ena Keliinoi singled doubled in the gap, scoring Cierra Yamamoto.
- Brown completed her outing with a strikeout with the tying run at the plate, clinching the win in the series opener.
THE RUNDOWN (GAME TWO)
- Hawai'i opened the scoring in the top of the first, taking an early lead.
- Dethlefson led off the home half of the first with an inside-the-park home run.
- Starks plated another run when she ripped a double in the gap.
- The Aggies would break things open with a seven-hit, seven run third inning to take a commanding lead that propelled them to the run-rule victory.
- RBI base hits from Maddie Grissom, Marley Panziera, Grace Kilday, and Bella Pahulu fueled the offensive explosion.
- Reinemen did the rest, cruising the rest of the way to earn her fourth win of the year in a strong five-inning outing, allowing just one run.
