DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis gymnastics team will hit the road for the second of three consecutive meets on the road. The Aggies will be battling it out with the San Jose Spartans at 7 pm. Follow along via livestream or live scorning.
LAST WEEK
The Aggies traveled to the Nest at Sacramento State. The Aggies were narrowly defeated by the Hornets in a fight to the finish with the Aggies ending off the evening with a 194.625 and the Hornets finishing with a 194.675.
HISTORY LESSON
Against San Jose, the Aggies are 27-49 all-time. Their last meeting was last season in a tri-meet where the Aggies took second place with a score of 196.475. This is their first match up of the year and will meet two more times before the end of the season.
MPSF STANDOUTS
UC Davis has garnered 4 MPSF weekly honors so far this season. Their first round of honors was a complete sweep, with
Emma Otsu taking home Gymnast of the Week,
Keanna Abraham as Specialist of the Week and
Ayumi Oshiro as Freshman of the Week. The following week
Keanna Abraham went back-to-back as Specialist of the week, making it her sixth career MPSF weekly award and her second time nabbing the MPSF weekly honors back-to-back.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Aggies will hit the road for the 3
rd time in a row next week. They will be taking on the Air Force Academy and Centenary in a tri-meet in Colorado. The meet will take place Friday February 16 at 6 p.m.
