DAVIS, Calif. –   The Aggies took on the No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs in their home arena today, where Fences and Flat dominated the meet. However, the efforts were just shy of a win with a final score of 7-13.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Fences squad pulled ahead of the Georgia Bulldogs in a close 3-2 race, a close 12-point score securing the win for the Aggies. Senior Emma Jolly was up first with a 65 on Bear, securing the first Davis team point. Freshman Anna Donovan followed suit in the first half on Cormint, scoring an 82 for the Aggie point. Senior Jessie Rechs sealed the deal with the highest score for the Aggies with a stunning ride, earning herself an 83 to out show Georgia's 76.
 
Horsemanship ran away from the Aggies with a total of 1-4 in the discipline, with senior Kendall Lance spearheading the team efforts. She scored a solid 68 on Maizy, while her competitor did not score.

The Aggies locked in the win on the Flat with another close 3-2 result. Seniors Margaret Franke and Marin Gilliland locked in two points, Gilliland beating her opponent by four points while Franke and Cormint turned the tide with a score of 80. Sophomore Lauren Kolbe has earned her fourth MOP award in less than a week, her performance on Stallone brought her to an 86, an 11-point gap between her and her Bulldog opponent.
 
In in the reining discipline, Georgia swept the Aggies with a 5-0 result in a close battle. The Bulldogs came away with a total score on 352.5, the Aggies right behind with a solid 344 finish.
