DAVIS, Calif. – Already the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week, UC Davis football redshirt junior linebacker David Meyer has earned national attention, being named National Defensive Player of the Week by FCS Nation following his Saturday performance against Northern Colorado.
 
The Aggie linebacker finished with 12 tackles, making 11 solo stops and added 2.5 tackles for loss. He also snagged an interception, his third of the season. This week also marked the second time this season that Meyer has been named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week.
 
UC Davis next takes the field at No. 7 Montana on ESPN2. The Saturday, Nov. 9 showdown is set for a 7:15 p.m. PT kickoff.
