DAVIS, Calif. – In a meet versus the No. 4 Oklahoma State Cowgirls, the Aggies fell short of a win with a 7-12 final score.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Staying dry in a one-arena show, Fences began the meet with a tie. Senior
Emma Jolly used her experience to her advantage, scoring an 86 on Bear to earn the MOP award in the event. Freshman
Anna Donovan also earned a point for the Aggies riding Otis, lassoing an 84.
Lauren Kolbe tied with her competitor, which resulted in a tied 2-2 score in Fences.
Horsemanship was up next, with sophomore
Kylie Jacobson earning the single Aggie Point with a 72.5 on Maizy, just ahead of her opponent by 2.5 points.
On the Flat,
Marin Gilliland headlined the Aggie efforts, her and Sophie earning an 82 and the MOP award in the event. She also was the sole point-winner in the department.
The Aggies finished off strong in Reining, however, resulting in a 3-2 win in the discipline. Freshman
Avery Adamson scored a point and a half higher than OSU with a 69.5 on Camacho. Junior
Nicole Shroyer, accompanied by GT, squeaked out a win half a point higher than the competition. To round it out,
Mya Clader and MayZ had a tow and a half point differential with a 63.
UP NEXT: This caps off the 2024 portion of Equestrian's season, the Ags will ride again on January 24
th versus Delaware State in a home matchup.
