Men's Soccer Facing San Diego in First Round of NCAA Championship

DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis men's soccer will continue their season with a first-round matchup in the NCAA Championship against San Diego in a road game on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. PT.

The Aggies earned their place in the tournament by clinching one of the 22 automatic bids through a decisive 2-0 victory over UC Santa Barbara in the Big West Championship Final this past Friday.

This will mark the Aggies' fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level, with all four under the leadership of Head Coach Dwayne Shaffer. UC Davis' last appearance came in 2019, when they hosted Louisville in the second round.

UC Davis holds a 2-3-3 record all-time against the Toreros, with their most recent meeting in 2022 ending in a draw.

The winner of Thursday's clash will advance to face Duke in Durham, N.C. on Sunday, Nov. 24.
