DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis men's soccer will continue their season with a first-round matchup in the NCAA Championship against San Diego in a road game on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. PT.
The Aggies earned their place in the tournament by clinching one of the 22 automatic bids through a decisive 2-0 victory over UC Santa Barbara in the Big West Championship Final this past Friday.
This will mark the Aggies' fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament at the Division I level, with all four under the leadership of Head Coach
Dwayne Shaffer. UC Davis' last appearance came in 2019, when they hosted Louisville in the second round.
UC Davis holds a 2-3-3 record all-time against the Toreros, with their most recent meeting in 2022 ending in a draw.
The winner of Thursday's clash will advance to face Duke in Durham, N.C. on Sunday, Nov. 24.
