The Short Story: Just a week after the tough loss against No. 15 Santa Clara, the Aggies respond with a gratifying win against the Broncos to settle the score
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the first quarter alone, graduate student Aleix Aznar Beltran fired off a pair of goals for the Aggies, while redshirt senior Will Nomura drew two exclusions against the Bronco defense
• After a timeout in the second quarter with a score of 4-3 Davis, the Aggies went on a swift offensive run- with goals from redshirt junior Adam Ting, sophomore Timothy Kerr, and graduate student Holden Neach to make the score 7-5 before the first half's end.
• Neach and Beltran secured a hat trick after adding two more goals each to the board in the third quarter,
• Redshirt junior Andrew Hitchcock made a pair of goals and had three big shot blocks to shut down the offense
• Nomura, Redshirt senior Colin Nicholls, redshirt freshmen Thomas Kiesling, and junior Will Fosselman each added a goal against the Broncos
• Kerr made a game-high of three steals on the defensive end
• Junior Frank Laptin had a big game in the cage, making 11 saves, denying over half of Santa Clara's scoring opportunities

The Short Story: The team closes out the one-day tournament with a battle versus the Spartans, where big offensive and defensive plays rolled over into a second win for the Aggies
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In an outstanding team effort, seven different Aggies contributed to the 8-4 lead against the Spartans in the first half alone. In the second half, the Aggies held their lead until the las buzz of the game clock
• With a display of experience in the game, three fifth-year Aggies led the offense during the second match of the day
• Will Nomura garnered a hat trick, earning his third goal in the last twelve seconds of the game to widen the prior one-goal gap between the Aggies and the Spartans
• Holden Neach Aleix Aznar Beltran both scored two apiece, Beltran assisting two goals and Neach also credited for an assist and a steal
• Nicholls, Kiesling, Fosselman, and redshirt senior Tyler Mrkaich contributed to the offense
• Nomura created three powerplay advantages for the Aggies with finesse from the center position
• Laptin returned to defend the net, making 13 saves and saving over fifty percent of the balls fired at him. The junior also made two crucial steals to cut the Spartan offense short.
