The Short Story:Â After a gritty battle versus the No. 2 spot in the rankings, the Ags fall short of a win against the Bruins.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Redshirt freshman Tommy Kiesling fired the first goal into the net on a powerplay within the first two minutes of the game
- Redshirt senior Colin Nicholls was the next to strike, pulling the Ags back in the lead
- Graduate student Aleix Aznar Beltran added to the scoreboard in the final twenty seconds of the first quarter
- In an impressive feat, goalkeeper Frank Laptin beat the Bruin goalie and scored on the last second of play in the first quarter
- Redshirt junior Andrew Hitchcock worked some magic and scored first in the second quarter, followed by true freshman Oleg Shatskiskh with his second goal of the weekend.
- At half, the Ags were up 6-3 versus the No. 2 Bruins
- Hitchcock kept the Ags afloat with two more goals in the second half, earning himself a hat trick and the leading scorer for the Aggies in the game
- Laptin shut down the UCLA offense with seven saves on the game
- Sophomore Timothy Kerr and Nicholls both added three assists to their records
- Graduate student Holden Neach and redshirt senior Will Nomura found some gas in the reserves with an incredible comeback; tying up the score 10-10 in the final few minutes of the game
- Kiesling ties up the game 11-11 in the waning seconds of the fourth period to send the game into overtime.
- Following trend, Kiesling converted two more goals in the overtime periods, but isn't enough as the Ags fall 13-16 to the Bruins, He ended the game with four goals, two drawn exclusions, and three steals
