Abella Hunter proving decisive, as UC Davis secured a 3-2 victory over Long Beach State on Thursday night at George Allen Field. Also,
Genavieve Fontes contributed her league-leading ninth goal of the season, and
Jayde Holley added a league-leading sixth assist, helping UC Davis earn three crucial points fresh off their bye week.

- The Beach took a 2-1 lead in the second half, scoring in the 76th minute
- Not to be deterred, UC Davis turned to Tristan, who scored a goal for herself off a setup from Jayde Holley, equalizing the game in the 79th minute
- The game only remained tied for mere seconds, with Hunter giving the Aggies a 3-2 lead in the 81st minute
- Long Beach State had one more shot in the 90th minute, but UC Davis held on, securing three important points

- With her ninth goal tonight, Fontes becomes second all-time in UC Davis' single-season Division I goal tally, trailing only Rochelle VanBuskirk's 13 goals from the 2009 season
- Holley's sixth assist tonight leads the Big West and, like Fontes, ranks her second all-time in UC Davis' Division I single-season record for most assists in a season, trailing Leslie Fregoso's eight from the 2021 season
