SAN LUIS OBISPO – The UC Davis (3-2, 1-1 Big Sky) football team took down Cal Poly (2-3, 0-2 Big Sky) by the score of 31-13 on Saturday evening at Mustang Memorial Field. The win continues the Aggie reign on the Battle for the Golden Horseshoe.
The Aggies have now won seven straight against their rival to the south and have posted 30-or-more points in six of those wins.
Trent Tompkins nearly eclipsed the biggest rushing game of his career as he amassed 89 yards and two scores on 12 carries. He averaged 7.4 yards per rush. His career-best came against the Mustangs in the 21-spring season as he ran for 91 yards and two scores.

UC Davis capped off the scoring when
