DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis junior pitcher
Kenedi Brown etched her name atop the record book on Saturday. Brown became the program's Division I career strikeout leader in the backend of the doubleheader sweep over UC Riverside.
Brown recorded career strikeout 550 for the first out of the fourth inning en route to her 5-0 shutout win. The Aggies opened the day with a thrilling, 5-4 walk off victory to improve to
22-12 overall and 8-4 in Big West play.

Brown (12-5) went the distance for UC Davis, earning her second shutout of the series, giving up three hits, walking three and striking out seven. The righthander broke Alex Holmes' record of 549 – a number that held since 2011.

Dethlefson provided the punch, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a grand slam. Junior
Leah Polson wen a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI. Junior
Rylie Costa also contributed, going 1-for-3 with a double.
The Aggies took the lead for good in the third, scoring for the first time in the inning. UC Davis got an RBI single from Polson, scoring
Dethlefson from second base.
The Aggies then tacked on runs in the fourth inning when they scored four times. A grand slam from
Dethlefson off sophomore
Maddie Heinlin cashed in all of those four runs in the frame for the final margin.

The UC Davis Aggies rallied to score three in the seventh inning and walked it off on junior
Sarah Starks' three-run double to pick up the 5-4 win over the UC Riverside Highlanders.
Trailing 4-0, the Aggies first put runs on the board in the fifth inning.

Galvan.
The Aggies kept the deficit at 4-1 before closing the gap further in the sixth. UC Davis pushed across a run on Starks' one-out RBI double, which brought the score to 4-2.
That is when Starks provided the walk-off heroics. The rally started with two outs as the Aggies loaded the bases for the junior. Starks then did the rest, ripping a double to left-center to clear the bases and hand the Ags the series victory.
In the batter's box, the Aggies were led by Starks, who went 4-for-4 on the day with three doubles and four RBI. Junior
Libbie McMahan put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. Sophomore Bella
Pahulu also contributed for UC Davis, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding two walks.
Junior Sarah
Reineman (3-4) got the win out of the bullpen. The right-hander went three innings, giving up one run on two hits, allowing one walk and striking out two.
UC Davis will hit the road to face CSUN, beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, April 14.
