PHOENIX, Arizona– The UC Davis Women's Beach Volleyball team has fell to 9-4 on the season after a close match with Arizona State.
After an incredible 9-0 start to the 2023 season, UC Davis competed in the Grand Canyon Tournament earlier this week. The Aggies started the tournament with a loss to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Followed by losses to Grand Canyon University, Pepperdine University, and now today to Arizona State. The Ags now recede to 9-4 with close to half the season left.
UCD played its final match of the Grand Canyon Tournament at 12:30 p.m. against the Sun Devils. After falling in the first set, recent players of the week UC Davis
Players of the Week,
Colleen McGuire and
Kylie Miller picked up a win in the second.
However, the Ags fell in the third. But, stayed resilient and fought in the fourth flight forcing a tie-breaker. Unfortunately UCD lost the fourth by four-points, but would comeback to take the fifth.

UC Davis takes on the Conference Challenge in San Luis Obispo. Over the course of three days, March 24
th-26
th, the Ags will battle the entire Big West Conference. First the Ags take on CSU Bakersfield on the 24
th. Next, on the 25
th the Ags will play three matches. First against Long Beach State, followed by Causeway rival Sacramento State, and then Hawai'i. Lastly, on the 26
th UCD will take on California State University Northridge and Cal Poly to close out the tournament.
