Aggies Ink 11 Newcomers in Early Signing Period

DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis football inked 11 prospective student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on the Early Period of National Signing Day, head coach Tim Plough announced on Wednesday.

SIGNING DAY CENTRAL

"We're excited to welcome these 'Davis Guys' into Shredville," Plough said. "Coach Hawkins and the staff have done a tremendous job in finding student-athletes with UCDNA. Looking forward to getting them all here to start their journey soon."

All 11 signees are California natives, with 10 first-years and one transfer making up the group of newcomers ahead of the 2024 season. Plough bolsters his offensive line with three additions (Jayden Montanez, Jace Rodriguez, Jezniah Thurston) to that position group while one quarterback (Damon Wrighster) and one wide receiver (Cole Owens) will join the new era of Shredville on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensively, Kyle Hill, Isaiah Sanders, and Jackson Sievers join the linebacking corps while Rayne Mayo Jr. and Jake Williams will add depth to the defensive line. Jordan Jones is the lone defensive back in the signing class, coming to the Aggies as a safety.
