DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis men's basketball team fell short to the Montana Grizzlies Tuesday night, 73-61.
The Aggies (4-6) had two players score in double figures, led by Kane Milling, who had 16 points and Ty Johnson who added 15 points, four assists and two steals.
Niko Rocak was impactful all night for the Aggies, adding nine points and eight rebounds. Rocak also finished tonight a team-high +10 in plus/minus.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After falling behind 36-24, UC Davis went on a 6-0 run with 1:38 left in the first half. Before the half expired, a three from Milling cut the deficit to just six, bringing the score to 36-30 to end the half.
Even with the Aggie offensive surge late in the first half, Montana would end up widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 73-55 advantage before eventually holding on to a 73-61 final.
