Aggies Cruise to Sixth Straight Win

DAVIS, Calif. — It was all Aggies, all afternoon, as No. 7 UC Davis extended their winning streak to six with a 16-10 win at the 13th ranked University of the Pacific, 16-9, on Sunday.

The University of the Pacific scored the game's opening goal, taking their only lead of the game less than a minute into the contest.

UC Davis rallied quickly and responded with goals from Will Nomura and Aleix Aznar Beltran

Both sides traded goals, before the Aggies settled into the leading position that they would hold the rest of the way, ending the first period up 5 goals to 3.

Nine different Aggies had first half goals, helping UC Davis to an imposing 11-4 lead with one half left to play.

Both sides went back and forth in the third quarter, with the Aggies pushing their lead out to eight off a Logan Anderson goal early in the fourth quarter.

With the match well in hand, the Tigers chipped away at the UC Davis lead, scoring three of the next four goals to finish play.

Aaron Wilson had a nine save outing, bringing his season total up to 153.

Anderson, Nomura, Beltran, Timothy Kerr, Andrew Hitchcock and Tyler Mrkaich scored twice, while Ben Fleming, Aaron Voggenthaler, Leo Giessmann and William Fosselman each finished with a goal.

The Aggies' next time out is next Saturday, when Big West rival UC Santa Barbara pays a visit to Schaal Aqautics Center at 1:00 p.m.
