UC San Diego Hands Aggies Their First Loss of the Season

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Ellie Heit and Sam Rhodes each earned event wins, but it wasn't enough as the UC San Deigo women's swimming team bested UC Davis 161-101 on Saturday afternoon.

Heit won the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.09, while Rhodes swam a 2:19.15 to place at the top of the 200 Breast.

Katie McLain had a strong meet, finishing in the top three in four different events. McLain came in second place in the 200 medley relay (23.39 split), 50 free (23.83), 100 free (52.36) and 200 free relay (23.40).

The defeat is the Aggies' first of the year, and moves them to 0-1 in the MPSF.

UC Davis' next competition is Nov. 4 at San Jose State.
