Davis, Calif. - UC Davis battled 100 degree temperatures on Thursday afternoon and took multiple chances late but drew 0-0 with San Diego at Aggie Soccer Field.
Playing the second half of a double-header that saw the UC Davis women's team leave the pitch around 11:30, temperatures registered between 100 and 105 degrees for the entirety of the match.
Though both teams took one shot on goal, the Aggies had excellent chances late in the second half as time ran down. A foul committed on
Ethan Hoard near the end of the 85th minute led to a header by Hoard in the 86th that the San Diego keeper just got a finger on to poke high of the goal. The Aggies had another chance in the 89th minute when a free kick was awarded to
Chase Tanon.
The Aggies (0-3-1) are still searching for their win of the season but began an extended stretch at home with games on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. against LMU and Sept. 14 against San Jose State.
