Davis, Calif. - UC Davis fell 1-0 to LMU on Sunday afternoon in a physical battle at Aggie Soccer Field.
The Lions' lone score came on an own goal by the Aggies in the 69th minute as a UC Davis defender attempted to poke the ball away on a Lions breakaway but found the bottom left hand side of the net.
A game that grew increasingly chippy throughout, four yellow cards were assessed on the day, three of those going to UC Davis.
The Aggies continued to apply pressure after falling behind though with
Max Glasser firing a shot on frame from the right side of the box in the 75th minute and a header by
Ethan Hoard before that in the 71st minute sailing high. Hoard also had a shot on goal in the 63rd minute.
UC Davis (0-4-1) will wrap up this three-game home stand on Wednesday, Sept. 14 with a 5 p.m. game against San Jose State before heading out on the road for its final two non-conference games.
