Davis, Calif. - UC Davis closed out a brief home stand on Sunday afternoon, drawing 1-1 with CSUN in a game that ratcheted up to include 28 total fouls and six total cautions.
The Aggies (3-4-4, 1-2-3) outshot CSUN 16-10 and 11-6 in the second half.
CSUN went up at the 12:21 mark of the first half on an off balance header before the Aggies equalized in the second half.
In the 63rd minute,
Kylee Redman played in from the far side of the field where Genevieve Fontes redirected to
Devyn Simmons to draw UC Davis even. It was Redman's first career point, Fontes' first assist of the season and Simmons' first goal of the season.
The final 10 minutes featured two yellow cards and five fouls as the Aggies also had three of their 11 second half shots in that span.
UC Davis won't play at Aggie Soccer Field again until Oct. 13 as it plays its next three on the road at UC San Diego, Cal Poly, and UC Santa Barbara.
