Stanford, Calif. - Facing their second nationally-ranked opponent in as many games, UC Davis (0-2) fell 3-0 to No. 3 Stanford on Thursday afternoon in Stanford.

Ethan Hoard took both of the Aggies chances on goal as the Aggies withstood 15 shots by Stanford.
It was the first time in the all-time series between the two teams that Stanford has prevailed and the first time they've met since 2005.
The Aggies will face Saint Mary's on Sunday in Moraga, a game that was moved to 1:30 from 3 p.m. due to forecasted extreme temperatures through the end of the week. UC Davis will play in front of its home fans for the first time on Sept. 8 when the team hosts San Diego on Sept. 8.
