Davis, Calif. - UC Davis matched a season-high with nine shots on frame but fell 2-0 to San Francisco on Sunday evening.
The Aggies dropped to 2-2 as their non-conference slate preparing for the Big West portion of the schedule continues.
UC Davis was able to manufacture more shots and shots on goal than in its previous two matches combined.
Leslie Fregoso had four shots total and was often a catalyst driving the middle of the field.
Sarah Canavan and Francesa Van Norden each put two shots on goal and
Jayde Holley,
Taylor Dever,
Lindsey Porter and
Bella Mayo had one each.
Both San Francisco goals came in the first half, in the ninth and 42nd minutes. Despite the loss, the Aggies are still outscoring opponents 4-3 on the season.
UC Davis' extended reprieve from major travels continues through next week with the Aggies visiting Sacramento State on Sept. 1 and hosting Oregon State on Aug. 4.
