Aggies Split Doubleheader; Coach Thorpe Earns 400th Win

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SAN LUIS OBISPO –The UC Davis softball team split its doubleheader with Cal Poly Friday at Bob Janssen Field. Head Coach Erin Thorpe earned her 400^th career victory in the opener as the Aggies won 5-0. UC Davis fell in the nightcap, 1-0.

The Ags scored four runs in the opening frame and added another in the fifth to open the series.

Taylor Fitzgerald earned the victory after holding the Mustangs to no runs on four hits in the complete game effort.

Libbie McMahan, Sarah Starks, Delaney Diaz, and Reese Mattley recorded multi-hit games as Mattley went 3-for-4 in the opener.

UC Davis fell in the nightcap, 1-0. Kenedi Brown allowed one run on six hits and struck out nine in the losing effort.

The two teams will meet for the rubber match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
