DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis men's tennis team once again defended its home courts, downing Weber State in the Aggies final non-conference match of the season, 4-1, Friday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. UC Davis improves to 14-9 on the season and 11-4 at home.

The Aggies dropped the doubles point but took care of business in the singles matches, rallying off four wins to earn the victory.

Freshman Ryan Torres at the No. 1 spot collected his 14^th straight win, downing Sebastian Buxman, 6-3, 6-1. The win on the No. 1 court was his third on the season as the newcomer boasts an unblemished 3-0 mark at the top spot.

Junior Andras Necz won on court No. 3 against Tristan Sarap, 6-3, 6-1, while classmate Brett Brinkman blanked Bo-Han Li, 6-0, 6-0 on court four. Junior Mitchell Davis defeated Matteo Savio, 7-5, 6-0 at the No. 5 spot.

The Aggies now dive into Big West play with five-straight conference matches. UC Davis hits the road to face UC Santa Barbara on Friday, April 8 and then faces Cal Poly on Saturday, April 9.
