It's the third straight season Manjon has been named to an All-Conference team and the the second straight for Pepper. In addition to being the 2019-20 Big West Freshman of the Year, Manjon was also named All-Conference Second Team in 2019-20 and 2020-21. Pepper was named to the Second Team last season.
Manjon and Pepper teamed up to form one of most lethal back courts in the conference over the course of the season, finishing ranked fourth and fifth in points per game - the two highest ranking teammates in the Big West.
Pepper averaged a career-high 15.3 points per game, shot over 80 percent from the free throw line for the third straight season and had a career-high 34 steals. He won the fourth and fifth player of the week awards of his career while shooting over 40 percent for the third straight season. He set a new career single game high with 27 points to lead UC Davis to a 71-64 win over Oregon State in December and nearly set a new career mark for total points in a season in 10 fewer games than his high of 388 set in 2019-20.
The two sophomores will lead UC Davis at the Big West Conference Tournament that begins on Tuesday at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev. The Aggies start the tournament with a first round game against Cal Poly at 8:30.
