Harrington, De. - UC Davis earned three MOPs in Friday's Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship semifinal against SMU but fell 10-9 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds.
Sophia Calamari earned reining MOP and won for the second straight day.
Carly Sweeney was named flat MOP for a 166-151 win.
Sierra Gundersen was the fences MOP with the highest win differential of the event, a 157-136 victory.
UC Davis was facing SMU for the second time this season and significantly narrowed the gap with the Mustangs.
The Aggies took the english events 6-4 with 3-2 wins in fences and flat.
Jessie Rechs won her fences point 153-145 and
Carly Sweeney won 142-132 to help the Aggies to an event win there.
Gundersen joined Sweeney in also winning a flat point with a 144.5-128 win while
Nicole Beales won 144.5-132 to hand UC Davis another event win.
It was horsemanship where SMU created separation though, winning 4-1 with
Sarah Finkel taking the Aggies lone point 146.5-144. It was Finkel's program-record seventh win in the event this season and her Friday score ties for second on the postseason all-time list in horsemanship.
The teams battled to a draw in reining with Calamari improving her UC Davis postseason record score with a 147.5-146.5 win.
Lauren Langbaum won UC Davis second reining point 130.5-128, her second win at the ECAC Championship in as many days.
The Aggies rewrote the program record book for team scores at the conference championship on Friday, setting new program championship highs with a reining mark of 690.5, horsemanship mark of 700.5, flat mark of 701.5, and fences mark of 731 against SMU.
The semifinal finish is also a program-best at a conference championship.
