Harrington, De. - UC Davis posted the most lopsided win in program history on the biggest stage of the season so far on Thursday, defeating South Dakota state 15-5 to begin the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships in Delaware.
The Aggies swept flat and horsemanship en route to the win and surpassed a 13-6 victory over the Jackrabbits earlier this season for the largest win differential in program history.
Tasia Anstead,
Keely Laughlin, and
Sierra Gundersen were double point winners across flat and fences, and
Carly Sweeney and
Nicole Beales joined those three to complete the flat sweep. Anstead's 163 total was a new postseason program record.
Sarah Finkel won her horsemanship point 144.5-142, pushing her single season program-best mark for wins in that event to six.
Malena Palmer added a second horsemanship point with a 143-133.5 win.
Sophia Calamari led the Aggies' reining sweep, scoring a postseason record 142 to win for the first time this season.
Kendal Scheiner,
Lauren Langbaum, and
Macey Newkirk each earned their sixth wins of the season with
Amber Nusser completing the sweep.
