DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis softball team (12-14) dropped a midweek contest to Boise State (24-5), 8-0, Wednesday afternoon from La Rue Field.

The Broncos scored a pair of runs in the first and then broke the game open with a four-run third inning, before adding a run in the fourth and another in the fifth to secure the victory.

Sommer Kisling, Sarah Starks, and Reese Mattley recorded hits for the Aggies.

Broncos hurler Taylor Caudill (9-3) earned the victory, tossing four innings, while striking out seven.

The Aggies head to Long Beach State for a three-game set, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 26.
