HONOLULU, HI. – The UC Davis beach volleyball team dropped a pair of duals to nationally-ranked competition, Friday at the Outrigger Queen's Cup on Queen's Beach. The Aggies fell to No. 3 TCU and No. 10 Cal by the scores of 4-1.

UC Davis took a point from each program as Rose Holscher and Ashlee Goycoochea teamed up at No. 4 to down Tara Patton and Hayley Boll of TCU, 12-21, 21-13, 17-15.

Facing Cal for the second time this season, the Aggies took the point at No. 3 as Holscher and Goycoochea once again were victorious. The pair won in straight sets, 21-15, 21-17

UC Davis will play Nebraska in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at 10 a.m.
