STANFORD, Calif. – The UC Davis men's tennis team fell, 4-0, at No. 8 Stanford, Wednesday afternoon from the Taube Family Tennis Center.
The Aggies battled the No. 8-ranked team in the country in four of the six singles competitions, but ultimately fell short.
Junior
Andras Necz took the No. 108-ranked player in the country, Aryan Chaudhary to three sets, opening the match with a 6-1 victory in the first set. Junior
Andrei Volgin nearly took the first set from No. 38-ranked Alexandre Rotsaert while fellow junior,
Brett Brinkman was neck-to-neck with Sangeet Sridhar.
UC Davis will host Causeway rival Sacramento State on Friday, Feb. 11, and then welcome Saint Mary's and Holy Names on Saturday.
