RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The UC Davis women's tennis team responded in a big way after its first Big West dual loss of the season yesterday by blanking UC Riverside, 4-0, Sunday afternoon from the SRC Tennis Courts.

The Aggies breezed through the doubles competition, posting identical scores of 6-2 on all three courts.

Sophomore Carly Schwartzberg then promptly made quick work of Niki Shahbazi at the No. 6 singles spot, 6-0, 6-1. Junior Yana Gurevich continued her winning ways by posting a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Freshman Arianna Stavropoulos sealed the Sunday sweep with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 3.

The Aggies will return home to the Mayra Welch Tennis Center this upcoming weekend for three home matches. UC Davis will welcome San Francisco on Friday, Feb. 11, and then face Holy Names and Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 12.
